O’Sail is proud to have provided grants to the following non-profit organizations:

  • Long Bridge Volunteer Fire Department - Fire boat contributions

  • Citizens for Animal Protection - spay & neutering costs as well as a free rabies vaccination clinic

  • Coast Guard Auxiliary - maintenance project at their training facility

  • Friends of Lake Gaston Association - equipment to document noxious weeds in the lake

  • Helpful Hands and Hearts - expenses to construct handicapped accessible ramps

  • KIPP Gaston College Preparatory - kindergarteners' garden

  • Lake Gaston Chamber of Commerce - the first Lake Concierge, an information kiosk in the Food Lion Shopping Center

  • Lake Gaston Volunteer Fire Department - external defibrillator and a portable suction unit

  • Lake Gaston Foundation - porch furniture and support for lending library

  • Lake Gaston Water Safety Council - support for their educational trailer, state boating law signage at various boat landings, and handout cards for boaters

  • Littleton Volunteer Fire Department - training for a firefighter to become dive certified to perform rescue and recovery operations

  • Long Bridge Volunteer Fire Department - computer equipment

  • Sylvan Heights Bird Park - new flamingo exhibit

  • Warren New Tech High School - equipment required to compile oral and written information for their book project on the history of Lake Gaston

  • Wildwood Foundation - PA system and bandstand expenses

Team Meeting

Grant Applications

We serve as a philanthropic resource to other non-profit organizations serving the lake to enhance the sense of community, friendship and lake awareness.

Funds raised through our events are granted back to the community through the grant application process. We support non-profit organizations that conduct projects or activities that benefit Lake Gaston.

Grant applications will be considered from any non-profit organization and institution. The applying organization must have 501(c)3 not for profit status with the IRS and provide documentation with the application. Projects or activities must describe their benefit to Lake Gaston and its surrounding communities.
