About O’Sail
O’Sail was organized to:
✦Raise funds by hosting fun-filled events and activities that entertain and benefit Lake Gaston residents and visitors.
✦Serve as a philanthropic resource to other non-profit organizations serving the lake.
✦Provide arts, infrastructure and learning opportunities for Lake Gaston residents and visitors.
✦Enhance the sense of community, friendship and lake awareness.
O’Sail, the Organization to Support the Arts, Infrastructure and Learning on Lake Gaston is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner
We Host three annual fund raising events:
✦Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner - 3rd Thursday every January, February and March
✦The Crossing - 2nd Saturday every August
✦Fall for the Arts - 4th Saturday every October
O’Sail is proud to have provided grants to the following non-profit organizations:
✦Lake Gaston Fire Department for an external defibrillator and a portable suction unit.
✦Littleton Fire Department to train a firefighter to become dive certified to perform rescue and recovery operations.
✦Longbridge Fire Department for computer equipment.
✦Coast Guard Auxiliary for annual maintenance of their training facility.
✦Lake Gaston Water Safety Council to support their educational trailer and for state boating law signage at various boat landings.
✦Lake Gaston Chamber of Commerce to build the first Lake Concierge, an information kiosk to be built in the Food Lion Shopping Center in Spring 2010.
✦Wildwood Foundation for a PA system for their new facility.
✦Warren New Tech High School for equipment required to compile oral and written information for their book project on the history of Lake Gaston.
